Job Title:  Global Designer

The Impact You'll Make

Are you an early-career HVAC engineer with a passion for hydronic system design? Danfoss is expanding its global Design Support Center with a new position in India to strengthen our end-to-end hydronic HVAC consultancy services for the APAC and TMA regions.

As part of a team that supports more than 1,000 projects a year worldwide, you will deliver design recommendations, energy analyses and optimised Danfoss product selections to designers, consultants, contractors and installers across the covered markets. You will work under the structured mentorship of our senior Design Support Engineer in Chennai, developing into a strong technical resource within Danfoss.

This role offers a genuine growth path: real project exposure from day one, deep engagement with our heating portfolio, and access to the wider Danfoss technical community.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design hydronic heating and cooling systems based on customer and project specifications, delivering clear recommendations aligned with Danfoss best practice
  • Perform energysaving calculations and system performance analyses to help customers make informed decisions on efficiency, comfort and reliability
  • Provide design support for hydronic applications across residential and commercial projects
  • Deliver optimised Danfoss product selections – valves, actuators and controllers – sized and configured to project requirements
  • Prepare technical documentation, calculations and consultation output that supports project handover and longterm customer confidence in the design

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or an equivalent technical discipline
  • Around 3 years of experience in HVAC design or hydronic installation design – in a consulting, contracting, or manufacturer environment
  • Solid understanding of hydronic systems: chilled water cooling and hot water heating, system sizing, and hydronic balancing fundamentals
  • Familiarity with design calculation tools and AutoCAD; exposure to energy analysis or system performance simulation tools is a plus
  • Prior experience supporting sales teams, consultants, or contractors on system design is an advantage

What You'll Get from Us

  1. We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  2. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  3. We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  4. You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
