Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Global Demand Planner to join our global planning team in Danfoss power electronics and drives (DPD). We are currently on a very exciting journey taking the SIOP process and demand planning to the next level and attaching the process even stronger to the market and our customers. 

In this role you will lead and support the demand planning in the SIOP cycles ensuring close alignment with key stakeholders. You will be working on maturing the demand plan for specific areas and securing the customer inputs, expected market development and other critical elements, all are integrated into the demand plan.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with regional sales teams and business unit stakeholders to understand demand drivers.
  • Review historical sales trends and order intake data as input for forecast.
  • Analyze and recommend on statistical forecast models including parameter settings.
  • Prepare and lead meetings with key stakeholders to collect input for the demand plan.
  • Prepare material for sales handshake and build recommendations and highlight observation and risk.
  • Participate in quarterly Demand Planning sign-off meeting with sales and business unit leadership.
  • Track and analyze forecast precision and implement corrective actions if required.
  • Develop the 24 months consensus demand planning forecast for multiple regions and product groups.
  • Direct dialogue with KAMs on selected OEM customers.

Background & Skills

  • Act confidently and able to lead discussions with a broad span of different stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Demand Planning or SIOP team, working with different data levels of aggregation and short/mid/long-term demand planning horizon.
  • Strong communicator and able to convey messages adapted to the receiving audience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and have experience working with big data, ideally experienced in creating Power BI reports
  • Should have Knowledge on statistics and specifically statistical forecast models.
  • Drive conclusions and recommendations based on data and business understanding.
  • Should be able to understand the business & be proactive with pragmatic mindset.
  • Experience with and ability to navigate in a large and complex matrix organization.
