Job Description
Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) develops the cloud service capabilities that support Danfoss and its customers. The CCoE enables our global digital transformation, and requirements while progressing on our multi-cloud adoption journey. For the CCoE we are looking for an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer who is passionate about maximizing the value of our cloud technologies to empower the organization in utilizing the cloud as a trusted accelerator for digital growth. You will join a dedicated team with highly skilled cloud architects and engineers that handle infrastructure at a global scale within Danfoss.
This is a new position where you will play a key role in the global cloud journey. You will be working in a global cross-functional environment with close contact to many different stakeholders such as; Software Developers, IT Infrastructure Operations, Application Owners, IT Security, IT Monitoring, and other relevant stakeholders from Global IT.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Engage in the incident management processes to ensure operational excellence.
- Proactive monitoring and implementation of new technology solutions to maintain outstanding performance and reliable IT Services.
- Coordinate effectively with project team members and business stakeholders to ensure high quality service.
Background & Skills
To excel as a Lead Cloud Engineer at Danfoss, you must undertake the responsibility of facilitating reliable, scalable, and flexible solutions. Your primary task will involve overseeing the overall technical infrastructure of the cloud environment. Demonstrating a collaborative mindset, you'll actively support and motivate the technical engineering team to enhance the delivery of substantial technical advancements. Additionally, you'll excel in translating requests into reality by adeptly analyzing requirements and innovatively finding solutions to meet them, ensuring the seamless execution of projects.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mentor, plan, and guide the contributions of the team
- Supporting centralized cloud governance and consulting services to the organization
- Drive cloud adoption across the organization and institutionalizing best practices (in a technical capacity)
- Provide technical consulting support to application architects to ensure alignment with overall design principles
- Develop infrastructure as code templates that support an automated deployment of cloud resources.
- Document cloud environments and supply appropriate runbooks for the Cloud Operations teams
- Ensuring the maintenance of the cloud service catalog with the latest technology stacks and features
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities
- Monitor and optimize performance with focus toward enhancing our capabilities, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- Partner with development teams to improve services
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
