Lead Consultant as key member of security operations center team, responsible for coordinating with stakeholders in the business and IT to facilitate security project implementation, drive critical security incident response and urgent vulnerability remediation activities across global organizations. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Strong passion in information security, consume security threat feed and conduct risk assessment to vulnerabilities and expose and facilitate urgent remediation activities with IT Operations colleagues.
  • Facilitate security investigation, validate scale, impact, and severity during critical incident response
  • Provide remediation advice and assist incident response team in security incident response activities, escalate if required
  • Drive lesson learned session together with stakeholders and ensure security control and process are improved to prevent similar attacks.  
  • Write up and report out to management and stakeholders to ensure risk transparency. 
  • Perform threat hunting and health checks to better response to security incident and vulnerability remediation.  
  • Facilitate projects and activities within Security Operations Center
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel to active participating direction setting and maturing Danfoss security operations center.

Background & Skills

Education: IT Lead Consultant require a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Sciences, or in a similar field from college or university
Certification: It is preferred that Lead security Consultant are certified. Certifications from accredited bodies, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor), GIAC/CISM/CCIE/CCNA, or other specialized security certifications
Knowledge and experience: 

  • Previous working experience in Global company in Information Security, Security operations center or cyber security incident response team. 
  • Require more than 10 years of Information security Technology experience, including Network Security, Endpoint security experience, 
  • Preferable worked as problem manager or project manager. 
  • Experience with software development lifecycles and related tools (e.g., bug trackers, software repositories, and code testing frameworks, etc.).
  • Understanding of software, protocol and hardware vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to explain and reason about common programming errors and exploitation techniques (i.e., buffer overflows and OWASP web application vulnerabilities) and how they relate to threats and attacks.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to represent and explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences (e.g., technical teams, customers, executives, etc.).
  • Require possess knowledge of ITIL process, ISO27002 information security standard and information security incident response processes.  

Communications skill: require both verbal and written English communication skills to communicate with all members of the IT team in a professional manner, and in order to successfully accomplish departmental and company goals
Presentation skills: Lead security Consultant must possess the ability to clearly and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Research skills: Their job requires them to carry out investigations on incident as well as document findings; hence it is essential that they have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Continuously learning ability: Security Consultant must be willing to maintain and update current knowledge of industry best practices for strategy, design, and operational support for information technology security, naturally curious people with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
