Job Responsibilities
Your role is being envisaged Lead Engineer within Power Electronics team of Variable Frequency Drives and Harmonics Solutions that would be required to deliver PMD-India Projects.
Key tasks
• Model, Simulate, analyze the sub system/ system to evaluate product and design concepts
• Design and Develop Power converters/ Inverters for Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Harmonics solutions
• Design, selection, specification, and validation of critical power components (e.g. IGBTs, SCR’s, Diodes, capacitors, inductors, contactors, fuses, Contactors, disconnects etc.)
• Perform Power circuit protection and coordination studies, circuit design, and component selection within VFD products
• Develop and perform subsystems/product Engineering tests during prototype development stage
• Support Testing Personals during the Product testing as per IEC/UL/marine standards
• Participate in FMEA and risk assessment activities
• Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers and manufacturing
• Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes application engineering, controls engineering, mechanical design, control hardware design, and test / validation
• Work with supply chain teams and qualify components and assemblies during prototype development and resolve issues as needed to maintain product and project quality, cost and deliverables

• Since the job is in R&D,the candidate has to acquire knowledge/skills continuously on latest trends and technologies within Power Electronics and Drives the candidate should have willingness to travel within India and overseas if required for training / competency building / prototype testing

B.E (EEE/ECE/Power Electronics) and ME /M.Tech on Power Electronics and Drives
Minimum requirements to working experience
Experience of 10 to 12 years
Essential
Familiarity with simulation and Analysis tools such as Dynamic system simulators (Saber, MATLAB, and SPICE)
Familiarity with Analog design, Design Process, Industry Standards, Converters/Inverters, Magnetics, Power Components, Sensing
Familiarity with Instrumentation and measurement of power converters
Working knowledge of power electronics, power distribution and control systems
Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
Effective technical documentation skills
Familiarity with Electric machines modeling and control
Familiarity with IEC, UL, and CSA regulatory standards.
Desirable
Experience in using Cadence for PCB Board layout, PCB fabrication, assembly and testing
EMI/EMC design, EMI/EMC test/debug, reliability test and system integration
