Job Description

We are looking for a Network Design Modeller who will contribute to end-to-end decision support for supply chain network design through studies and recommendations driven from advanced analytics using supply chain modeling and network optimization.

The scope of the role is a Global role as projects will be initiated all around the world and inidividual projects will also go across regions. The fact it is a Global role and individual projects will go across Regions a significant amount of complexity comes with this role in terms of understanding the Global Supply Chain and engaging with stakeholders globally.

Besides engaging with stakeholders globally this role also engages with stakeholders on multiple organizational levels from VP of Supply Chains, Directors of Operation, Finance Controllers, Business Consultants / Specialist in terms of gathering information and communicate Business recommendation as an output of the Network Design studies performed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse technical and non-technical groups to scope project requirements, identify appropriate data sources, validate model outputs, and formulate insights
  • Deliver analytical study results to key stakeholders
  • Communicate model output to technical and non-technical stakeholder through a combination of written and visual presentation techniques
  • Transform “big data” often consisting of hundreds of thousands of lines from disparate sources for structured model use
  • Lead efforts to acquire, and cleanse, and validate data for structured model use
  • The knowledge and understanding of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools for core data inputs into supply chain network models
  • Develop expert-level knowledge in supply chain network optimization software
  • Apply best practices and ingenuity using packaged supply chain network optimization software to model baseline network behavior and hypothetical ‘what-if’ scenarios
  • Develop recommendations based on model output and business acumen and support recommendations with documented and traceable methodology
  • Perform comprehensive and detailed interpretation of results connecting data inputs, modeling techniques, assumptions, and model outputs to derive business insights
  • Design and construct scenarios aligned to project scope and stakeholder inquiries
  • Use model as a discovery tool to identify potential opportunities

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of principles of optimization applied to footprint optimization, product flow optimization, inventory optimization, and cost-to-serve analysis
  • Experience from Supply Chain Network optimization software & Understanding Supply Chain mechanism
  • Extensive experience with BI / CDS view / SQL / Power Query
