Job Description

Danfoss is leading manufacturer of electronic controllers in Refrigeration and control segment. An Electronic R&D facility is in Chennai covering the areas of software applications, firmware, electronic hardware, mechanical and validation to facilitate end to end electronic product development. The product and projects portfolio will be as per global requirements of the company.

The position requires a high caliber in Embedded & PLC based software development for embedded products

Job Responsibilities

  • To identify user requirements and to proactively suggest improvements on software.
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.   
  • Specify best practices and architectures in order to facilitate customer usage and components reuse.
  • Responsible for detailed design, Coding and Review with all stakeholders.
  • Verify and Validate design through Unit Testing, Design Integration Testing and support System Testing.
  • Adherence to Agile/DevOps Process and provide inputs in schedule estimation.
  • To assure the quality of the applications, through the definition of internal quality plan that meet the specific application.
  • Cooperate closely with colleagues in international teams, ensuring that applications and/or machines meet standards and customer requirements.

Background & Skills

  • BE/B.Tech/ME/MS/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant.
  • Knowledge on software development (5-6 year of experience/seniority);
  • Knowledge and expertise of PLC code development, in particular ST, FBD, SFC (IEC61131 languages)
  • Knowledge and expertise in the C/C++ programming language and knowledge of ARM microprocessor architectures as a plus
  • Knowledge of UART, USB, CAN peripherals
  • Knowledge of Modbus RTU, CANOpen communication protocols and Wireless communication knowledge is also a plus.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills as a daily approach.
  • Hands-on experience in Python and test framework is an added advantage.
  • Should have worked on product development process, working experience in DevOps & SDLC process.
