The Impact You'll Make

As an SAP IBP Inventory Specialist, you will help shape how inventory is optimized across a global supply chain network. Your expertise will support smarter inventory decisions that balance customer service, product availability, working capital, and operational efficiency.
 
You will play a key role in developing and enhancing SAP IBP Inventory Optimization capabilities while ensuring inventory strategies are closely connected to supply planning and operational execution. By combining inventory optimization with SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP), you will help create more resilient and responsive planning processes.
 
Working with global stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and technology teams, you will contribute to planning solutions that enable better decisions, improved business performance, and greater value for customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and enhance SAP IBP Inventory Optimization capabilities to improve inventory performance, service levels, and working capital outcomes across the supply network.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable planning solutions by configuring planning models, master data, key figures, planning operators, and planning processes.
  • Analyze inventory drivers and planning scenarios to identify opportunities for better inventory positioning, availability, and supply chain performance.
  • Integrate inventory optimization with supply planning processes by supporting SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP), Response & Supply, and SAP S/4HANA connectivity.
  • Enable planners to make better decisions through training, functional guidance, KPI monitoring, exception management, and scenario analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience with SAP IBP for Inventory / Inventory Optimization, including configuration and planning process design.
  • Practical experience working with SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP) and an understanding of how inventory targets connect with executable supply plans.
  • Knowledge of SAP IBP Response & Supply, inventory planning, and end-to-end supply chain processes across Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP/S&OE, and execution.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and supply chain master and transactional data.
  • Experience supporting or delivering SAP IBP implementation, rollout, enhancement, or transformation initiatives in a planning environment.
