Job Description
At Danfoss Drives, we are seeking a passionate power electronics and quality enthusiast in the position of Specialist-Root Cause Analysis at our Oragadam/Chennai Campus, India. In this role you will be part of our Global Product Engineering Center and lead continuous improvement projects in the field of electrical & power electronics
Job Responsibilities
- Lead identification of Systemic Root Causes process for product quality issues reported from field and production of AC drives
- Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions in terms of Product, Process, Field
- To be able to identify the systemic links to a quality issue and collaborate with the right stakeholders to arrive solutions to the gaps in the processes
- Initiate continuous improvements based on feedback from internal stakeholders and enhance problem solving skills
- In depth analysis of AC Drives and power electronics components / systems to identity right root-cause towards Design, Component, Process, System and Field
- Involve redesign of circuits and components as a part of robustness enhancement
- Act as technical specialist in the field of Power Electronics and able to guide team towards design and quality improvement in the field of power electronics

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- 9+ years of experience in the field of Power Electronics -design, testing and analysis.
- A Master’s/ bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/Electronics Engineering/Power Electronics
- In-depth knowledge about Power components, electrical & electronics components, and circuits
- Detailed knowledge in Power Quality analysis & impacts, EMI/EMC, etc
- Extended experience in AC Drives, Magnetics and Motor control
- In depth knowledge in Quality tools & problem solving
- In-depth knowledge about Power components, electrical & electronics components, and circuits
- Hands own experience in MATLAB and similar design and simulation tools in power electronics
- Good Data analytical skills; In-depth knowledge in MS Excel, Power Point
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a team across cultures. Global mindset with good communication skills.
- Six Sigma Green Belt / PMP will be an added advantage.
- Physical presence at office is expected.
- Travel: Rare to 10 % of time
