Job Description

As a Sourcing Specialist, Procurement, as part of the procurement organization, you will collaborate with R&D on new products and supplier selection – you will be the sourcing and procurement representative in development and PEC projects.

You will plan material needs with SAP to ensure availability of material for production and you will prepare price negotiations & sourcing agreements together with global sourcing.

The key challenge is successfully planning and select the useful suppliers, with excellent execution and control to be delivered to timeline while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Collaborate with R&D and global sourcing to identify and select suppliers for new parts in projects and coordinate ramp-up.
  • Purchasing of direct and indirect material.
  • Ensure on time availability of material for production.
  • Inventory level optimization regarding value and turns.
  • Continuous improvement of delivery performance of suppliers together with global sourcing.
  • Maintenance of item part master data in ERP.
  • Process facilitator for sourcing processes.

Background & Skills

To be successful, an individual will need to be a robust person in the face of sometimes differing Internal/External stakeholder expectations, and you have experience in mediating this type of situation.

The ideal candidate must be results driven, with a desire to reach goals by overcoming obstacles. As a candidate you should be comfortable with stringent use of global tools and processes, but you are also able to work in a high pace with a proactive mind-set and creative thinking.

Finally, you are a strong communicator and as a team player, you possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder networks.

  • Strong MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills due to continuous contact with external partners required.
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken) - German and/or Italian is beneficiary.
  • Willingness to travel sometimes.
