Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an experienced Paint Shop Technologist, who will also be in charge of managing a small team and lead specific project related to Paint Shop & Paint Line. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with your team-members, internal customers and suppliers. In this role, you will report to local manager and you will work in our production plant in Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Leading a small team of shop floor operators
  • Being responsible for new Paint line project 
  • Ensuring programming and adjusting of paint line and related devices
  • Assuring regular revisions of specific paint shop equipment, cooperating with responsible authorities
  • PLM key member position related to paint system requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement related to painting process and system
  • Responsible for MSA, EHS & Quality system documentation (FMEA, PFD, CP)
  • Assuring cooperation with partners regarding predictive & preventive maintenance within the paint shop

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies or Chemical background is an advantage
  • Previous experience with paint shop technologies - adjusting, programming & maintenance
  • Experience with project management (i. e. implementing new technology)
  • Good practical knowledge of operational excellence & quality tools such as MSA, FMEA, PFD etc.
  • Relevant leadership skills - ability to lead a small team of paint shop operators
  • Being familiar with basic people management principles
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Good command of English language (spoken & written)
