Job Description

 

We are looking for a strong and experienced sales & marketing individual for our Drives-segment, who can lead our Sales, Marketing and Aftermarket Services organization in Eastern Europe Region to meet our ambitious growth targets.

Areas of Responsibilities

  •  
  • Sales and profitability responsibility for the region
  • Overall responsible to ensure operation of all commercial activities of Danfoss Drives sales, marketing and aftermarket services with several support function activities within the region
  • Execute Drives global, regional and local business segment and product strategies within region
  • Attract, retain and develop the best people and team members in the region
  • Continue development of customer loyalty in the region
  • Member of the Global Sales, Marketing & Services leadership team
  • Member of the Regional Management Team representing Drives-segment, chaired by the Regional President of Eastern European Region

People Leadership

 

EER (Eastern European region) counts a total of 50+ Drives employees spread over 10 countries – Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria with an annual turnover of around 50 m€.

EER countries are grouped into 5 clusters lead by 5 country or cluster managers which reports directly into Head of EER (Poland, Czech Republic + Slovakia, Hungary + Romania, Ukraine and Adriatic covering Slovenia + Croatia + Serbia + Bulgaria). There is also established a team of regional functions covering service, project sales, marketing and business excellence aiming at taking advantage of synergies across the countries and in the region.

 

  • Direct leadership of a core central team of the 5 country managers and 2 regional functions: Regional service and DrivePro manager and Regional application & project manager
  • Indirect leadership and close cooperation with regional customer Service center being a crucial part of our interaction with customers  
  • Overall responsible for the attraction, hiring, engaging, and retention of employees with right competences and mindset.
  • Overall responsible for employee engagement across the region.

Key tasks

  •  
  • Meet short-term & long-term business objectives.
  • Ensure global and regional strategies are adapted to the countries and executed accordingly
  • Continuously develop and operate an effective and value adding Sales, Marketing and After Market Service organization through continuous coaching, training and professional development
  • Develop and dimension the team to deliver on overall Drives strategy, including training and development of talent and capabilities
  • Decide on pricing within delegation of power while ensuring overall pricing strategies and margin targets are achieved
  • Drive marketing activities, incl. product information, representation of fairs/ exhibitions, trade press and publications
  • Provide input to decisions on business segment and product strategies, portfolio priorities and product adaptations
  • Define and follow up on performance targets
  • Forecasting
  • Ensure continuity in the organization
  • Be an active and proactive member of the global as well as the regional management team lifting the bar in everything we do!

Minimum requirements to educational background

 

Master degree or equivalent

Requirements to working experience

  •  
  • Consolidated experience in Drives industry or Automation industry 5-10 years, specifically reg. key areas for growth: Heavy industry, engineered solutions.
  • “Leading sales leaders” experience in multinational companies
  • Experience with marketing, channel management
  • Ability to communicate to a variety of customers at all levels
  • Proven track record on developing successful strategies and executing growth
  • Business acumen (P&L)
  • Experience with change management/process optimization  
  • Ability to work and experience with working in a complex, international matrix organization
