As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production by achieving production targets, supporting production planning, supervising the workforce, and continuously improving production processes and equipment.
Your impact will be reflected through stable production performance, effective manpower utilization, accurate production documentation, strong safety practices, and continuous improvement in productivity and operational efficiency.
You will work closely with production employees and cross-functional teams to execute the production schedule, resolve process-related issues, develop employee capability, and maintain a well-organized and disciplined production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Achieve production targets and supervise production activities in accordance with the production schedule, while continuously improving production processes and equipment.
- Allocate daily work to operators and workers based on production requirements, supervise workflow, manage work schedules, and ensure employees are actively engaged in their assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure that safety procedures and processes are followed in the plant, maintain accurate and complete production documentation, and support compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
- Collect, organize, and analyze production data to improve productivity and OEE, manage 5S activities, and identify opportunities for process and operational improvement.
- Support employee training and development, provide performance feedback, assess employee development needs, and communicate production requirements, schedule changes, process issues, and success stories effectively
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- Good understanding of production planning techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management Systems, safety requirements, productivity, and OEE.
- Good knowledge of Plate Press and Gasket manufacturing processes, including plate pressing/forming, plate handling, gasket extrusion, vulcanization, post-curing, trimming, inspection, and related production equipment. Understanding of production parameters, cycle time, productivity, OEE, process control, quality requirements, tooling, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems, and the ability and willingness to learn and work in SAP
