Job Description
The incumbent is expected to execute Cylinder designs, support Application and customer service team for design related queries. Need to support SAP team to build automated systems, support integration of SAP & PLM applications for Cylinder portfolio. The incumbent will act as a point of contact for Customers, Application engineering, customer service for all cylinder configurations related queries. He/She is required to participate and lead strategical discussion & come up with Continuous improvement / automation ideas to improve efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute simple & complex designs requests for North America
- Prepare Bill of material & routings for Cylinder designs in SAP
- Prepare 3D models & drawings in UG-NX.
- Work with SAP & PLM (Teamcenter) team on integration projects for Cylinder portfolio.
- Lead data migration activities with SAP team.
- Provide technical support for simple & complex application designs involving multiple components & new applications.
- Act as SPOC for SAP, Variable configurator to both internal and external customers.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce engineering touch time.
- Maintain knowledge objects procedures documents, share best practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing partners (marketing, supply chain, procurement, IT, extended R&D) to ensure quality, cost, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 2-3 years of experience in design and application engineering.
- Knowledge of SAP VC (variant configurator) and SAP PLM Objects (Material master/ Bill of material/ Routings etc.) & PLM (Teamcenter)
- Basic knowledge of SAP & Teamcenter integration
- Cad software’s working knowledge- UG NX, Solid works etc.
- Working knowledge of Configurators/ ERP systems/ PLM systems.
- Knowledge of products designs
