The Impact You'll Make

 

As a Product Application Engineer – Hydrostatics, you will serve as a key technical partner to the Business Unit (BU) Sales team and act as a critical link between Sales & Marketing and the BU for product-related technical expertise.
 
You will be responsible for Hydrostatics product families, supporting customers and internal stakeholders with application engineering solutions, technical product guidance, and market-driven insights. This role also contributes to product launches, change management activities, technical training, and the continuous improvement of our product portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Provide expert application engineering support for Hydrostatics products, delivering innovative and technically robust solutions for diverse customer applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Systems/Application Engineering teams to develop and implement customer-focused solutions.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders, addressing product-related inquiries and application challenges.
  • Translate customer requirements, market trends, and application insights into actionable recommendations for product development and portfolio enhancement.
  • Manage Customer Request Notifications (CRNs), including requirement clarification, documentation, and execution through CRM and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.Act as a project coordinator for CRN activities, ensuring timely completion of customer-driven product modifications and engineering requests.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, application guides, training materials, and product-related content.Participate in Product Development Process (PDP) launch teams and support engineering change management activities.
  • Support problem-solving and root cause analysis efforts related to product performance, quality, and customer applications.

What We're Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Design Engineering, Application Engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Experience working with hydraulic, hydrostatic, or fluid power products is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and customer application development.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex engineering projects and deliver results within established timelines.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving and reliability methodologies, such as:
    • 8D
    • FRACAS
    • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (2D/3D modeling and design).
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and platforms such as:
    • SAP
    • Teamcenter
    • Salesforce CRM
    • PLM systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
