The Impact You'll Make

 
As a Program Manager within Danfoss Power Solutions' Hydrostatics Division, you'll play a critical role in bringing new products and business initiatives to life. You'll lead cross-functional, globally distributed teams to successfully execute new product development, localization, manufacturing footprint, and cost reduction programs that support strategic business objectives.
 
This role sits at the center of engineering, operations, finance, and business leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll help translate business strategy into execution by guiding integrated product teams through the product development lifecycle while balancing customer expectations, financial performance, and technical requirements.
Your ability to manage stakeholders, influence teams, and drive disciplined program execution will directly contribute to product launches, business growth, and continuous improvement across the Hydrostatics portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

As Program Manager, you'll own program execution from concept through launch while ensuring alignment across global stakeholders and functional teams.
 
  • Lead low to medium complexity programs, including new product development, localization, manufacturing footprint, and cost reduction initiatives, with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, budgets, resource requirements, risk registers, and execution strategies to achieve program objectives and business outcomes.
  • Drive effective collaboration across global cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and timely resolution of project risks and issues.
  • Monitor project financial performance and lifecycle costs, including development, product, and capital investments, while supporting strong business case execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Danfoss product development processes, stage-gate requirements, and governance standards through regular reporting and performance reviews.
 
You'll also play a key role in presenting project status to senior leadership, supporting business proposals, and driving continuous improvement in program management practices.

What We're Looking For

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 6 years in product development, program management, or project leadership within hydraulics, industrial products, or a related engineering industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing product development programs across multiple stakeholders and locations.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, new product development processes, project planning, budgeting, risk management, and project execution methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project, combined with strong communication and presentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

PMP® or CAPM® certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desirable.
Experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO), leading globally distributed teams, and managing complex product development projects will be an advantage.
Knowledge of hydraulic products, manufacturing processes, cost-down methodologies, and value engineering initiatives would strengthen your profile.
