The Impact You'll Make

 

As a Senior Designer at Danfoss, you'll play a key role in delivering customer-focused product customization and engineering solutions for our hydraulic products portfolio. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements, ensuring designs are accurate, compliant, and released efficiently to support business growth.
 
In this role, you'll drive engineering changes, maintain design quality, and support product lifecycle activities while collaborating with global cross-functional teams. Your expertise in CAD design, PLM systems, and engineering standards will help ensure on-time delivery of customer requests and high-quality engineering documentation. Through continuous improvement initiatives, you'll also contribute to enhancing engineering processes and operational excellence across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

You'll combine technical expertise with strong collaboration skills to deliver high-quality design solutions and engineering documentation.
  • Develop and release product customization designs, engineering drawings, and documentation for customers, manufacturing, and pricing teams using approved engineering standards.
  • Manage engineering change requests and revision control activities within TeamCenter, Enovia, or other PLM/PDM systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Create and modify component and assembly models, drawings, castings, and forgings using CAD tools such as NX or Pro/E, applying GD&T and stack-up analysis principles.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and global cross-functional teams to evaluate technical requests, resolve design challenges, and support product improvements.
  • Drive quality and process excellence by performing design reviews, maintaining engineering standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within change management processes.
You'll also support value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects and help improve product performance, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction through effective engineering solutions.

What We're Looking For

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in product customization, product design, or engineering change management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as NX, Pro/E, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with PLM/PDM systems, including TeamCenter, Enovia, or equivalent solutions.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, stack-up analysis, ASME/ISO standards, and engineering change processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NX, TeamCenter, Pro/E Wildfire, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
Knowledge of hydraulic products, piston pumps, motors, hydraulic circuits, manufacturing processes, tool design, casting, forging, and machining processes will be highly valued.
Exposure to Root Cause Analysis, 8D methodology, Lean, DMAIC, and continuous improvement practices would be beneficial.
