Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​Senior Engineer-EMI EMC ​to join us at our diverse team. ​​​​​​The employee will be part of the Modelling and Simulation Team at DIIC R&D and Engineering organization in Danfoss Power Solutions and will report to M&S COE Leader – Magarpatta, India. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting modelling and simulation activities around EMI/EMC simulations of various electronic components used in hydro-mechanical systems. The position will provide simulation support and design inputs to product design teams to build robust products.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Simulation models of PCBs on Electromechanical hydraulics systems by understanding applications and relevant physics for hydraulics systems
  • Verification and validation of models w.r.t to measurements.
  • Able to perform EMI simulations and manage large complexity projects independently.
  • Creating high level systems pulling together all the individual components.
  • EMC Analysis engineer with good understanding of EMC concept and standards.
  • Responsible for Pre and post Signal /Power Integrity and EMC analysis. Responsible for debugging and providing solutions for EMC related issue.
  • Support PCB team for layout design with EMC improvement. Able to create manuals and specifications for EMC.
  • Lead technical discussions working with design teams as well as comprehensive report writing of the results and finding.
  • Collaboration across simulation specialists across the organization.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Masters or similar education in Electrical Electronics and Communication Engineering with a simulation background
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience EMI 3D modelling, and simulations - Hands on working experience with Ansys HFSS tool. Knowledge of EMC simulation tools- Ansys Siwave, Ansys Desktop Designer, Ansys Simplorer, Hyperlynx SI/PI.
  • Hands on experience working with EMI/EMC Simulations and working knowledge of Simulation experience and working knowledge of RE, CE, RI, CI, ESD, EFT, Surge, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).
  • Experience with test equipment is a plus - e.g., Oscilloscope, TDR, VNA, Signal Generator, BERT, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Antennas, EMI current probes.
  • Understanding of basics of hydraulics systems and control mechanics (PCB, Firmware, Hardware) associated with it and physics associated with it.
  • Knowledge of High-Speed interfaces (DDR2/3), good understanding of timing diagrams. Sound knowledge of basic electronics and Power electronics.
  • Fluent and comprehensive English skills – written and spoken.
