The Impact You'll Make

 

At Danfoss Drives, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our Medium Voltage (MV) drives during New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing. Your expertise will help deliver innovative power conversion solutions that meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
 
In this role, you’ll combine hands-on testing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to support the successful launch and manufacturing of cutting-edge drive technologies. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive excellence and help shape the future of electrification

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Own the functional testing process for MV products and automated test equipment, including testing of new products and repaired units to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
  • Update, modify, and maintain test hardware and software, supporting reliable and efficient production testing environments.
  • Analyze defects, scrap, and product failures, perform root cause analysis, and use data-driven insights to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Create and maintain quality records, process documentation, and customer shipment documentation while supporting compliance with relevant quality standards.
  • Partner with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams by participating in design reviews, evaluating nonconforming materials, and providing technical support to resolve quality and test challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, with experience in a manufacturing test and/or quality environment preferred.
  • Solid experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand, along with hands-on use of data acquisition systems, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related test equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and tools such as PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, Kaizen, and change management, with a working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and computer skills; experience with AC drives is highly desirable. Ability to stand for extended periods and travel occasionally as needed.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$90,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
