Within Danfoss Drives, we are looking for an Area Manager – Drives to develop and grow the business across Lombardia. The role is responsible for expanding market presence and driving sales of Danfoss variable speed drives and related solutions, building strong relationships with both existing and new customers in the industrial automation sector.

The ideal profile is a business-oriented sales professional with a solid technical background, experienced in structured industrial markets, and comfortable working with end users, OEMs, and system integrators. A strong drive for business development and market growth is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify new business opportunities, develop new customers, and strengthen relationships within the existing customer portfolio.
  • Drive, implement, and monitor sales activities across the assigned territory (Lombardia).
  • Define and execute sales strategies to achieve budget targets, including business planning, pipeline development, and partnership management.
  • Ensure achievement of forecast, margin, and customer satisfaction objectives in line with agreed commercial strategies, supported by reporting activities and market intelligence analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Business Development, Marketing, Technical Support) using Danfoss tools to propose competitive solutions, and manage service/spare parts quotations, including identification and pricing of components and finished products.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational background in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent culture.
  • Proven experience in similar role gained in International middle structured company, operating in Automation Industry.
  • Strong knowledge related to electric drives and motors. Familiarity with topics such as communication networks, integrated security and motion control.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills with strong goal orientation.
  • Strong knowledge of English and Italian Language (written and spoken).
