Step into a pivotal leadership role that extends beyond traditional finance. You will guide our financial strategy and operations across a key European cluster including Denmark, Germany, Finland, and the UK. In this unique position, you will also serve as a Managing Director for some of our German legal entities, making critical decisions that shape our business.
You will be the strategic architect of our financial future in the region, driving growth and profitability in close partnership with our business segments. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating Mergers & Acquisitions, optimizing our legal structures, and ensuring our financial strategies are robust and future-proof.
At the heart of your role, you will lead a dedicated, high-performing team distributed across several countries. You will foster a culture of collaboration and empowerment, expertly coaching your team remotely to embrace new technologies and innovative ways of working.
We are hiring with location in Hamburg only.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as Managing Director for seven German legal entities while ensuring unwavering financial, tax and legal compliance across Germany, Denmark, Finland, and the UK.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that drive growth and profitability, acting as a key business partner to our commercial segments and divisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a talented geographically dispersed finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving with limited travel.
- Play a crucial role in Mergers & Acquisitions, from strategic implementation to seamless integration into our legal and financial structures.
- Enhance our risk management framework to ensure business continuity and safeguard the company’s assets and reputation in a dynamic market.
What We're Looking For
- You have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is considered a plus.
- You bring extensive finance experience from a complex, multinational corporation, including significant leadership responsibilities.
- You are a skilled remote leader and communicator, with proven expertise in change management and a talent for coaching teams across different locations.
- You ideally have previous experience as a Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) in Germany.
- You are fluent in both German and English, enabling you to lead and collaborate effectively across our European teams.
- You are proficient with modern financial systems and tools, including SAP, HFM, and Power BI.
