The Impact You'll Make

As the Regional Materials Manager at Danfoss, you will lead global materials management activities, including demand planning, supply planning, and strategic procurement. Your role is crucial in ensuring optimal material availability, cost efficiency, and alignment between customer demand and production capability. By driving the local-to-local sourcing strategy and expanding regional supplier bases, you will strengthen supply resilience and support volume growth. Your leadership will be key in collaborating with production site Supply Chain Managers and Order Fulfillment Representatives to manage and resolve customer escalations, particularly those related to material shortages and delivery risks.

Your expertise will guide the development and execution of regional materials and sourcing strategies that support our cost, delivery, and sustainability goals. What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Lead a regional team overseeing demand planning, supply planning, and strategic procurement.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support cost, delivery, and sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Managers to support purchasing and production planning.
  • Expand the qualified supplier base and drive local-to-local sourcing, increasing regional volume and responsiveness.
  • Use ERP and analytics tools (SAP, Power BI) to improve materials visibility, planning accuracy, and performance management.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Several years of experience in global materials management, planning, or procurement roles.
  • Proficiency with ERP/planning tools (SAP) and strong leadership skills.
  • Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills in a global environment.
