Job Description

Danfoss Mexico is looking for a Financial Analyst for our plant in Reynosa. As Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing direct support to the Plant controller. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and project management tasks, including but not limited to processing and managing journal entries, review and analysis of actual financial information as it relates to monthly financial reviews and forecasts, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet account management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and the development of processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and value of the Accounting department.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Support manufacturing operations by reviewing various aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, trend analysis, etc.
  • Analysis of plant expenses, follow cost savings.
  • Ensuring compliance with all SOX and Corporate Audit requirements.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations according to Danfoss financial policy.
  • Assist with the annual physical inventory and reconciliation.
  • Ensure on-time completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements.
  • Participate in month-end closing and forecast processes.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
  • Assist with the annual profit planning process.
  • Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Maquiladora in similar position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Familiar with Finance information Systems (Oracle, SAP, DFT, MFGPro)"
