Job Description

Danfoss Mexico is looking for a Financial Analyst in our Reynosa Plant. As Financial Analyst you will Provide direct support to the plant controller. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and project management tasks, incluiding but not limited to processing and managing journal entries, review, and analysis of actual financial information as it relates to monthly financial reviews and forecasts, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet account managment, sarbanes-oxley compliance and the development of processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and value of the accounting department.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Support manufacturing operations by reviewing many aspects of plant operations, incluiding, but not limited to manpower analysis, trend analysis, etc. 
  • Analysis of capital projects and maintenance of Oracle fixed asset system.
  • Ensuring compliance with all SOX and corporate Audit requirements.
  • Complete monthly and quartely account reconcilations according to Danfoss financial policy
  • Assit with the annual physical inventory and reconciliaton
  • Ensure on-time completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements
  • Participate in month-end closing and forecast processes
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
  • Assist with annual profit planing process.
  • Support and/or participate on continuos improvement activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas programs, Cost out and/or demostrate improvements in goals year over year in pur processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in factory, in similar position
  • Strong communication skills (English conversational and written skills required) 
  • Familiar with finance information system (Oracle, SAP, DFT, MFGPro)
