We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated Finance & Manufacturing Cost Controlling Apprentice to support strategic initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing cost transparency, reporting capabilities, and financial performance across our global production network.
In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing finance leaders and plant controllers across multiple regions to harmonize cost calculation methodologies, develop advanced reporting solutions, and leverage data analytics to drive performance improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing finance, cost controlling, digital transformation, and AI-enabled reporting in a global industrial environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
1. Support Harmonization of Cost Data and Reporting Standards
- Assist in harmonizing production cost calculation methodologies across different manufacturing sites.
- Analyze existing costing principles and identify inconsistencies between plants.
- Develop recommendations to standardize cost allocation and calculation practices.
- Collaborate with site controllers to implement agreed changes within the 2027 Standard Cost Calculation process.
- Support the design and enhancement of dashboards, reporting templates, and financial performance reporting tools.
2. Drive Manufacturing Cost Performance Through Data Analytics
- Establish a monthly production cost tracking process for manufacturing sites in Brazil, Mexico, and the Czech Republic.
- Analyze cost variances and identify the key drivers behind cost fluctuations.
- Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to improve manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
- Develop benchmarking analyses across production sites to identify best practices, synergies, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to finance and operational stakeholders.
3. Contribute to the Development of the Divisional Reporting Ecosystem
- Support the creation and maintenance of Databricks databases enabling AI-generated analyses and automated reporting.
- Contribute to the development of digital reporting solutions for monthly business reviews and plant controlling activities.
- Participate in projects related to:
- Fixed Expenses Tracking
- CAPEX Monitoring and Reporting
- Manufacturing KPI Development
- AI-driven Finance Analytics
- Help improve reporting automation, data quality, and self-service analytics capabilities within the division.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Databricks, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Interest in AI-driven reporting, business intelligence, and digital finance transformation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or controlling is considered a strong advantage.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Ability to identify cost drivers, challenge assumptions, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader business context.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with plant controllers and business stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
