Job Description

Danfoss Queretaro is looking for a skilled Material Planner Senior. In this position you will ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. You will be responsible for scheduling of Incoming material, overall ownership of material ordering and availability, monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives are met, release Work orders to  satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory & prepare requirements for purchased and manufactured parts, Schedule & Coordinate shipments for Customers or Coating Suppliers.

As Material Planner Senior, you will join a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and acting as sparring partners for each other.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

 

  • Analyze, Planning and require the raw material and/or subassemblies for OEM & Service Parts production line’s (releases) 
  • Avoid production line shutdown due to lack of raw material or subassemblies
  • Manage Phase In / Phase Out to avoid obsolete material
  • To resolve all the discrepancies of shipments with  suppliers  and  internal customers
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Support to engineering change’s (pro launch and cost out projects) and new  projects
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives
  • Follow-up supplier shipments & track the supplier delivery

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelors Degree in  Business, Engineering or similar
  • More of 5 years of  experience as materials planner-buyer in automotive industry or similar, working with global suppliers
  •  MFG Pro / SAP knowledge
  • English & Excel advanced Level
  • Negotiation & Leadership skills
  •  ERP Planning skills (desirable MFG/Pro)
  • MRP knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of bill of material structuring, schedule execution, and inventory management
  •  APICS training (Desirable)
