Job Description

Danfoss Queretaro is looking for a Materials Planner-Buyer for our Distribution Center. In this position you will execute material planning for purchased components in alignment with the distribution center plan requirements.  Utilize MRP to effectively communication schedules and purchase orders to suppliers, follow-up with suppliers daily, manage inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of materials.

As Materials Planner-Buyer, you will join a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and acting as sparring partners for each other.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  1. Execute material planning to procure raw materials through a consistent process reducing variation on the supply base. (OTD, Past Due, DOH)
  2. Accountable for inventory performance of set of suppliers/commodities to maintain balance of on time delivery and working capital performance. (OTD, Past due)
  3. Utilize MRP to the fullest extent to ensure timely and accurate communication of supplier schedules and/or discrete purchase order releases.
  4. Purchase materials based on MRP methodology to Intercompany and External Suppliers converting requirements for products and services into detailed and planed inventory acquisiti
  5. Revises and Performs root cause analyses on Materials Purchasing Variances to minimize negative impact on business.
  6. Performs analysis to determine Safety Stock levels, Re-Order points and Planning Parameters in accordance to Danfoss SCM Strategy.( DOH )

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Undergraduate degree required in Industrial Engineering or business administration.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • MFG Pro or SAP knowledge
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Strong skills for inventory data analysis
  • Excel advanced level
