Job Description

Danfoss in Searcy is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will sustain production machinery(tools), provide consistent tool performance, keep systems and equipment running by preventative maintenance, making repairs, and installing necessary replacement parts, along with cost reduction activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct maintenance technicians.
  • Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians. 
  • Plan and accomplish preventative maintenance activities on motors, pumps, robots, conveyor systems and production machines to improve reliability.
  • Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems to the faulty component.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeter or other test equipment.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Repair and maintain CNC Machines, including Mazak/Makino Machining Centers.
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of all industrial production equipment, including Test Stands and devices used to move, lift or convey product.
  • Follow all Safety Rules, including PPE and OSHA. 
     

Background & Skills

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industries is required.
  • 2 years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or electronic systems a plus 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic/ hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions is a plus. 
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments. 
  • Physically capable of prolonged standing and working in awkward positions while performing maintenance.
  • Must be well-organized and can prioritize tasks.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of advanced processing and process equipment specifically around troubleshooting electrical components.  
  • Able to operate computer and system interface programs and analyze production information.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete required tasks; demonstrate solid work performance with a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Strong team member, train new team members as needed; able to prioritize activities.
  • Proficiency with software applications, Microsoft Office, Excel as well as specific programs of SAP, Maximo; able to create reports and document procedures.
