Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Full-time position, this is a Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm position. It may include on-call and overtime, depending on production needs.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Installation & Setup: Assist in the installation, setup, and alignment of new equipment or machinery.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. Perform regular safety checks and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules. Report any issues or irregularities to supervisors.
  • Parts & Tools Management: Identify parts and tools needed for repairs and coordinate with the purchasing department to maintain inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and other departments to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.

Background & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
    • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
    • Knowledge of CNCs (computer numerically controlled) machines is a plus.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • HVAC experience is a strong plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, walk, and work in tight spaces and heights.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
