As our Senior Engineer Product Compliance , you’ll play a key role in enabling sustainable product development by ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations and industry standards across our hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, controllers, and fluid conveyance product portfolio.


You will help ensure our products meet evolving global regulatory requirements while supporting sustainability goals, reducing compliance risks, and strengthening customer trust. Through your expertise in environmental compliance, material assessment, lifecycle analysis, and data-driven decision-making, you will contribute to responsible product development and support Danfoss' commitment to sustainability and innovation.

You’ll collaborate with Product Engineering, Sustainability, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Compliance, and external stakeholders while taking ownership of compliance assessments, regulatory monitoring, lifecycle analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping us move toward a more sustainable and compliant future.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Lead product environmental compliance activities by reviewing global regulations, assessing product structures, and delivering compliance declarations for product portfolios and product families.
  • Support stakeholders by interpreting regulatory requirements such as REACH, RoHS, PFAS, Conflict Minerals, WEEE, and Machinery Directives, and translating them into actionable implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sustainability, quality, and supply chain teams to evaluate material compositions, manufacturing processes, coatings, and product compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Utilize your expertise in IMDS/CDX, LCA methodologies, carbon footprint calculations, PLM/ERP systems, Power BI, and analytics tools to improve compliance reporting, data management, and decision-making.
  • Continuously enhance compliance processes, project execution, dashboards, and stakeholder engagement practices to strengthen operational efficiency and sustainability performance.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with 6–8 years of relevant experience in product compliance, engineering, product design, sustainability, or related domains. Master's or PhD candidates with relevant 3years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements, including REACH, RoHS, PFAS, Conflict Minerals, WEEE, Machinery Directives, product certifications, and industry legislative standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, material compositions, manufacturing processes, and product structures while working effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and digital tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, Power Apps, IMDS/CDX, PLM/ERP systems, and lifecycle assessment software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, project management, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to manage complex compliance initiatives and drive sustainable outcomes
