The Impact You'll Make

 

Danfoss is currently hiring for Senior Quality Engineer for our Utica, NY location.  The Senior Engineer, Quality supports Quality Management System maintenance, internal audits, external audits, document control, corrective action tracking, compliance, and audit readiness for the Utica liquid-cooling manufacturing and distribution site.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

 

  • Maintain and improve QMS procedures, records, document control, training records, process documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Plan and support internal audits, external audits, customer audits, layered process audits, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Track findings, containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, closure evidence, and effectiveness checks.
  • Train process owners on QMS requirements, document control, audit preparation, corrective action standards, and evidence expectations.
  • Analyze QMS trends, audit findings, overdue actions, document changes, and recurring compliance gaps to recommend improvements.
  • Support document creation and revision for work instructions, procedures, forms, inspection records, control plans, and process maps.
  • Verify that manufacturing, distribution, incoming inspection, calibration, nonconforming material, and corrective action processes are followed.
  • Coordinate audit schedules, agendas, escorts, evidence packages, response timing, and closure documentation.
  • Ensure document revisions, obsolete document controls, approval routing, and controlled copy practices are maintained.

What We're Looking For

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field required.
  • Experience with QMS administration, internal auditing, document control, corrective action systems, or manufacturing quality preferred.
  • Experience supporting ISO-based quality systems, customer audits, layered audits, or certification audits preferred.
  • Internal auditor certification, lead auditor training, or quality certification preferred.

  5. The targeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 based on experience.
