The Impact You'll Make
As our new Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of nozzles, pumps, and spray solutions used in cooling, heating, humidification, snowmaking, and other critical applications. You will take ownership of mechanical product design and development, helping to ensure our solutions remain innovative, competitive and compliant while delivering value to customers around the world.
Your work will directly support Danfoss' position as a global leader in key components and technologies that help improve energy efficiency, enable sustainable heating and cooling, and contribute to responsible water usage. Through innovation, optimisation and close collaboration across the business, you will help create solutions that make a meaningful difference for our customers and society.
While Danfoss offers the scale and opportunities of a global technology leader, our Spray and Burner Technologies business combines those advantages with the agility of a smaller, highly independent organisation. Here, your ideas can quickly become reality, your contributions are highly visible, and your development is a priority. Whether you aspire to become a recognised technical expert or grow into a leadership role, you'll find strong support, meaningful responsibility, and clear opportunities to shape your career.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will take technical ownership of mechanical products and drive development activities from concept through implementation. One of the unique aspects of this position is the opportunity to work with full product responsibility throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Because our organisation combines the advantages of a global engineering business with the agility of a smaller, independent business unit, you'll gain exposure to every part of the value chain. This will allow you to broaden your technical and commercial understanding, develop your skills across multiple disciplines, and build close working relationships with colleagues across the organisation while seeing the direct impact of your decisions.

- Validate and implement design changes through testing, analysis and collaboration with key stakeholders
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, suppliers and customers to deliver successful product outcomes

- Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative approach to working across functions and cultures
Preferred qualifications
Experience with mechatronics, mechanical product design, simulation tools, AI-supported engineering methods, or product optimisation techniques would be considered an advantage.
Work model
This role requires close collaboration with colleagues, production, laboratories and key stakeholders on-site. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can work from our Nordborg location on a daily basis and enjoys being close to both the products and the people who bring them to life.
What You'll Get from Us
You'll join a highly experienced and collaborative team with a strong, family-like culture built on openness, trust and mutual support. Our organisation brings together development, production, assembly and testing capabilities in one location, giving you a unique opportunity to understand the complete product lifecycle and make a visible impact on the business.
You'll help engineer a better future by contributing to solutions that make a real difference around the world.
We'll support your career growth with mentoring, learning opportunities, and access to global career paths.
You'll have the flexibility, autonomy, and support you need to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
