What You’ll Be Doing

 

Duties:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the quality assurance team, ensuring adherence to company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations; apply advanced technical knowledge of hydraulic motors and systems to evaluate product performance, identify nonconformities, and lead corrective actions; lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for recurring or high-impact quality issues; monitor and analyze production processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to ensure product reliability and reduce scrap, rework, and warranty claims; ensure proper application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in design and inspection activities; oversee and ensure proper use of specialized measurement and inspection devices such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), Vision Systems, and metallurgical testing equipment; maintain accurate and complete quality documentation, including inspection records, test data, and audit reports, in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards; train, mentor, and develop quality inspectors, engineers, and production personnel on quality standards, SPC, GD&T, inspection techniques, and hydraulic-specific processes; promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the quality department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aeronautical  Engineering (Technology)
  • 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in Hydraulics environments
  • 3 years experience with inspection and testing equipment
  • 3 years experience reading engineering drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEA’s, routers, job instructions, standardized work, and basic statistical methods
  • 3 years experience with AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and FMEA)
