The Impact You'll Make
You’ll lead marine electrification solutions that help decarbonize vessels across EMEA—from shore power to hybrid battery and fuel cell systems. Your work turns bold ideas into reliable, scalable applications that move the energy transition from promise to practice.
You’ll be the trusted technical partner for startups, system integrators, and OEMs, shaping end to end solutions that cut emissions, improve uptime, and lower lifecycle costs. You connect customer needs with the right architecture and standards to deliver value fast.
Based in Gorinchem and collaborating across EMEA, you’ll join a team that brings innovative marine systems to life with Danfoss Drives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect and validate marine power conversion solutions—drives, microgrids, shore supply, chargers, battery and fuel cell systems—designed for safety, efficiency, and class compliance
- Lead solution development with the Application Development Center (ADC) in Gorinchem, coordinating with engineering, project management, service, and product teams to move from concept to delivered systems
- Advise startups, SIs, and OEM partners—translate requirements into robust designs and clear roadmaps; build technical proposals and proof of concepts that win customer confidence
- Own the technical lifecycle: system design, controls, integration with vessel automation and standards, testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement
- Champion knowledge sharing—deliver customer trainings, demos, and field support; represent Danfoss technology on site and at events across EMEA
What We're Looking For
- A degree in power electronics (or equivalent hands on expertise in hybridization and marine electrification)
- Deep knowledge of power conversion, electrification systems, microgrids, and battery & fuel cell systems
- Experience with systems engineering and vessel automation (e.g., PLC/SCADA integration, maritime standards)
- An entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and ownership; you work across teams and with external partners
- Willingness to travel and to deliver customer trainings across EMEA as well as fluent English language skills
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
