Look no further! Step into the role of Senior Strategic Buyer at Danfoss Power Solutions’ Global Procurement & Supply Chain organization in the Controls Division and join us on an exciting journey.
In this position, you will become part of a dedicated and competent Global Procurement & Supply Chain team located in San Sebastián in Spain. Collaboratively, we ensure effective management of our global suppliers so they deliver and improve on all parameters.
Please note, this position requires a regular onsite presence at least 3 days per week in our San Sebastián office.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure long-term supplier development, as you drive the procurement agenda in a global matrix organization. In doing so, you will work across several global functions and serve as the vital link between supply chain and external suppliers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading supplier relationships to drive capacity management discussions and delivery
- Being responsible for a number of suppliers, including handling contracts, price negotiations, and benchmarking activities
- Coordinating ramp-up and ramp-down activities for new and continuous improvement projects
- Completing Service Level Agreements with selected suppliers
- Supporting and occasionally leading cost reduction and other sourcing projects that improve cost, quality, and delivery from suppliers
- Drive and support supplier change requests through our change management process
- Complexity Reduction – drive wise sourcing decisions and lean on group wide suppliers to support local initiatives
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a skilled professional with a background in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or finance, combined with a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. You have several years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, and bring a solid understanding of how to drive value through supplier collaboration and strategic sourcing.

- Solid, proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics
- Technical experience with engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or product-related technologies
- Strong negotiation and networking skills

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- A-self-driven and proactive mindset that keeps momentum going and delivers results
