The Impact You'll Make

The Business Development Manager - Incubation is a customer-facing role responsible for the engineering relationships and technical engagement with strategic data center customers across the region and responsible for translating  distinct customer requirements into structured inputs for the Incubation funnel and for supporting concept validation through targeted customer engagement. The Business Development Manager cooperates with Product Managers, sales teams and system application engineering teams globally to establish and execute strategic plans for extending product offerings and to address new markets and customers within the data center cooling market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for concepts approaching market readiness, including target customer prioritization, channel strategy, launch sequencing, and supporting commercial enablement materials.
  • Prepare and continuously update business development strategy with preparation of Voice of the customer, SWOT analysis,  conclusions to support product and technology roadmaps developments and M&A strategy.
  • Build and maintain deep, technically credible relationships with engineering leadership, infrastructure architects, and operations leadership at strategic customers.

Distinguish between customer-specific requirements and segment-wide patterns that may justify platform-level investment, applying disciplined judgement to push back on requirements that do not generalize.
  • Lead technical scoping discussions, support proof-of-concept engagements, and represent the engineering perspective in joint technical evaluations with strategic customers. Facilitate customer visits to the Incubation Laboratory and represent the Incubation organization in customer-hosted technical reviews and design discussions.
  • Coordinate closely with the regional DPS and cross-segment data center sales organization to maintain alignment on customer activity and to ensure that Incubation engagements complement, rather than overlap with, ongoing commercial activity. Support handover of customer relationships to the established Danfoss commercial organization as concepts reach market readiness.
  • Represent Danfoss in relevant industry venues, selected conferences and forums focused on data center segment in region. Maintain awareness of regulatory, sustainability, and energy efficiency developments affecting the region, and assess implications for the Incubation portfolio.
  • Acquire knowledge on competitors, market share and potential threats to Danfoss from competitors. Use knowledge to better position Danfoss products on the market.
