Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an Operations Manager to lead our overall fulfilment activities for our Shawnee, OK facility. This role will Work to deliver customized solutions and turn-key project mainly to customers in the Palm Oil and Mining industry. Our scope of supply includes design and delivery of hydraulic power units, fabrications, as well as automation and SCADA solutions.
The Operations Manager will work out of our Shawnee facility daily and report to the Sr. Operations Manager. We are not able to provide work authorization support at any point of employment for this position.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Lead and Inspire: Operations Department with 3 x Direct Reports (SCM; Production & QA) with overall total of 15 pax and may varies.
- Streamline procurement processes, focusing on cost efficiency, production support, and robust supply chain performance.
- Proactively address any performance issues across material planning, warehousing, shipping, and receiving.
- Lead and organize the local automation assembly and testing operations, incl. factory acceptance test
- Guide production efforts to meet cost-effective, high-quality results aligned with customer commitments.
- Customer Complaint Handling for Hydraulic Motors BU and Projects, Systems & Services BU
- Ensure compliance operations in dedicated areas - influence stakeholders into compliance, always keeping the 'user-easiness'
- Processing of EtO (Engineering to Order) in SAP (End to End process from order creation to billing), incl. continuous improvements.
- Foster team growth through training, performance reviews, and educational opportunities.
- In close cooperation with Focus Area act as a trainer for other team members; provide regular trainings for end users to enhance their capabilities and accountability for high quality input and compliance.

- A bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related degree is required
- 10+ years in manufacturing and operations management (or equivalent) is required
- Proven ability to inspire, communicate, and collaborate
- with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, able to proactively identify solutions and drive improvements.
- Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience with modern business systems for streamlined operations
- Experienced in working in a matrix organization of an international enterprise Experienced in working in an SAP environment as our central ERP system
- Carry a positive attitude and a team player
- Proven good conflict management and negotiations skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and proven track record in leading a diverse team
- Possess Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in business, Engineering, or related field, with 7+ years in manufacturing and operations management (or equivalent).
