The Impact You'll Make

The Waste Technician is responsible for the daily collection, sorting, and safe disposal of waste and recyclable materials. This role involves operating facility machinery, inspecting materials for safety compliance, and maintaining accurate logs. Ideal candidates are safety-oriented, reliable, and capable of handling physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 4:00 am.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform procedures necessary to ensure compliance with Danfoss initiatives and ensure the personal safety of the incumbent and his/her associates including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine safety guards, ergonomic movement, lock out/tag out, SDS procedures, and OHSA regulations.
• Collect, sort, and process recyclable or waste materials.
• Operate basic facility machinery and equipment safely.
• Inspect waste packages to ensure they meet site & regulatory rules and safety limits.
• Load and unload materials from collection trucks or bins.
• Follow local and federal safety rules while handling materials.
• Keep accurate daily logs and paper records of waste volumes.
• Meet standards as communicated by supervisor.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments, as necessary. 

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 
• Demonstrated ability to optimize time management, prioritize, and function in a highly organized manner. 
• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing tools. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Effective advanced and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Drive for results

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Occasional walking within warehouse or production areas
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (as needed)
Frequent use of computers and office equipment
Works in an environment where inattention could cause injury
Combination of office and manufacturing/warehouse setting
Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures when
on the production floor

This is a safety sensitive position.

This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act.
