The Impact You'll Make
As our Field Service Engineer for Data Center Liquid Cooling (DCLC), you will be the technical field-evidence and authorized service owner for assigned customer issues. You will investigate products where they are installed and operating, collect reliable evidence, and perform approved diagnostic and service actions.
Your impact will be visible in safer and faster customer recovery, stronger first-visit effectiveness, complete and traceable field evidence, and quicker root-cause and corrective-action decisions by our quality and engineering teams.
You'll collaborate with customers, the Field Service Engineering team, Customer Claims Handling, Site Quality, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Global Quality while representing Danfoss professionally at customer locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and coordinate onsite and remote assignments by reviewing claims, product configurations, drawings, operating history, known issues, required tools, safety requirements, access needs, and investigation objectives.
- Conduct safe field investigations and technical diagnostics of the product, installation, interfaces, controls, environment, maintenance condition, and operating history using approved methods and tools.
- Capture complete, traceable evidence - including photographs, measurements, serial and lot data, configuration information, data logs, environmental conditions, and witness statements - and preserve the chain of custody for returned samples.
- Perform or support approved adjustment, repair, replacement, commissioning, or temporary restoration activities, then clearly document the work performed and communicate verified observations, limitations, and next steps.
- Deliver timely and factual field reports, escalate potential safety or systemic risks, support root-cause and corrective-action verification, and share lessons that improve product quality and serviceability.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems, Mechatronics, or another relevant engineering discipline; an associate degree with substantial directly relevant technical experience may be considered.
- At least three years of experience in field service, application engineering, product or quality engineering, maintenance, commissioning, manufacturing, or industrial troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment, interpret drawings, schematics, piping diagrams, control logic, and technical procedures, and use relevant mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluid, dimensional, or data-acquisition tools.
- Strong technical reporting and customer communication skills, with an objective, evidence-based approach and working knowledge of structured problem solving, failure analysis, and corrective-action verification.
- The ability to work independently at customer sites, manage changing priorities, follow field-safety and lockout/tagout requirements, hold a valid driver's license, and travel frequently within the region and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
