What You’ll Be Doing

 

Act as lead change agent to manufacturing, operations, and supply chain managers consulting with them on best practices within lean manufacturing system; obtain results in terms of optimizing quality, delivery, cost, and cash flow by leading site Continuous Improvement Team.  Duties: develop manufacturing operations to maximize synergies and reduce cost through waste reduction, inventory management, and improvement of flow; accountable for overall productivity metrics; work with factory team to identify, drive and execute continuous improvements; drive results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills, and change management processes; create long-term activity roadmaps and lean transformation projects for factories; facilitate creation of quarterly Tactical Implementation Plans with main activities from roadmap; maintain proper use of Hourly Registration for urgent operation; ensure Performance boards are set up, maintained and used correctly; support factory team in solving root causes of production deviations; ensure RCPS boards are updated daily and that deviation to targets is a main source in driving RCPS activities; support FMS tool (owned by the Plant Manager) and facilitate updates with leaders; ensure Agreed vs. Actual staffing is clearly visible in PMS and Factory boards and staffing is monitored; ensure weekly Shop Floor Audit and review results of audits; prompt action from leaders to address findings in Shop Floor Audits; ensure manufacturing capabilities provide a competitive advantage.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment driving lean principles and projects; in a production environment that is ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and IATF16949 certified; and with key Lean principles including 5S, MIFA, RCPS, OEE, SMED, TPM and KPI’s
  • Certified expert in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma.
