You will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of hardware and software, contributing to the security of our smart IoT devices. Your work will directly support our efforts to meet the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), a critical initiative for our future products.


This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, explore the use of AI in modern development, and make a tangible impact on the connected devices used in homes around the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support the design and implementation of security solutions to prepare our smart indoor climate controls for the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
  • Contribute to migrating software, including application and communication stacks, from legacy microcontrollers to modern, more capable platforms
  • Help develop and test key security features like secure boot, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and firmware verification
  • Assist with the verification and debugging of our embedded systems, from writing unit tests to troubleshooting directly on hardware
  • Explore and apply AI tools to help streamline routine coding, accelerate debugging, and improve our overall development processes

What We're Looking For

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Coursework or project experience in embedded C programming and an interest in firmware development for IoT devices
  • Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, such as Zigbee, Matter, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, or similar
  • A foundational understanding of memory management for resource-constrained systems
  • A strong interest in cybersecurity principles and a passion for learning how to build secure products
