What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the design and implementation of security solutions to prepare our smart indoor climate controls for the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
- Contribute to migrating software, including application and communication stacks, from legacy microcontrollers to modern, more capable platforms
- Help develop and test key security features like secure boot, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and firmware verification
- Assist with the verification and debugging of our embedded systems, from writing unit tests to troubleshooting directly on hardware
- Explore and apply AI tools to help streamline routine coding, accelerate debugging, and improve our overall development processes
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Coursework or project experience in embedded C programming and an interest in firmware development for IoT devices
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, such as Zigbee, Matter, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, or similar
- A foundational understanding of memory management for resource-constrained systems
- A strong interest in cybersecurity principles and a passion for learning how to build secure products
