As our Electronics Engineer Summer Trainee, you’ll play a key role in supporting product development by contributing to the design, verification, and lifecycle management of electronic solutions used in energy-efficient drives.

 

Your impact? You’ll help ensure high-quality, reliable Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) that support Danfoss Drives’ commitment to sustainability, performance, and innovation. You’ll collaborate closely with the Product Development team in Vaasa, working alongside experienced electronics engineers and taking ownership of hands-on design and laboratory tasks—helping us move toward a more innovative and sustainable future.

Position is located in Vaasa, Finland

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support small-scale design of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) schematics and layouts to meet product development requirements
  • Modify, verify, and test Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) in a laboratory environment
  • Perform electronics component verification and analysis to ensure quality and reliability
  • Assist in the maintenance and redesign of existing PCBAs and components
  • Contribute to component lifecycle management while continuously learning and sharing knowledge within the team

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Currently completed at least 2 years of B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in electronics or another relevant engineering field
  • Basic knowledge of analog, digital, embedded, or auxiliary power electronics, such as switching-mode power supplies
  • Interest or hands-on experience in electronics design—whether through studies or as a personal hobby
  • Ability to work well in a team, take initiative, and actively develop your technical skills
  • Good command of English and at least basic knowledge of Finnish

Salary range for our Summer Trainees: 2200- 2860 € per month, based on level of studies and study points.
