As our Summer Trainee, Mechanical Simulations, you’ll play a key role in analyzing the performance and reliability of mechanical designs.

Your impact? You will be a key defender of our product quality. Your mission is to find and help eliminate potential design weaknesses before a product ever reaches a customer. Using advanced simulation tools, you'll provide data that our Product Teams need to build more robust and reliable designs.

You will collaborate closely with experienced Simulation Specialists and Product Teams, taking ownership of preparing models and running complex simulations. The analysis you provide will empower our teams to move toward a more reliable future.

Position is located in Vaasa.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support Simulation Specialists by preparing 3D models for simulation
  • Perform and support advanced FEA (finite element analysis) simulations; structural and mechanical
  • Analyze and report results
  • Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to optimize design
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge to enhance how we operate

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Completed at least 2 years of M.Sc. and B.Sc. studies in an appropriate engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanics, Physics, Mathematics) 
  • Some experience in mechanical engineering and/or mechanical simulations
  • Experience in conducting FEA simulations using standard softwares (e.g. Ansys, Abaqus, or similar)
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Detailed and structurized mindset of problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively in expert-driven teams
