As our Summer Trainee, Power Electronics, you will become an active part of a passionate and driven team to ensure the reliable performance of high-quality, cost-effective products from a power electronics perspective, supporting continuous factory operations, meeting evolving standards, enabling smarter energy use and supporting sustainable design.

 

You will work closely with other Electrical Engineering team members and collaborate with key stakeholders across mechanics, procurement, and factory operations. As a trainee, you will take on meaningful responsibilities and grow into power electronics professional, actively contributing to building a more efficient and sustainable future.

Position is located in Vaasa, Finland. 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Providing verification support for drive testing, power electronics components and circuits
  • Creating test specifications
  • Performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Validating and optimizing designs using simulations
  • Implementing design changes based on test results and requirements
  • Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Delivering technical support to stakeholders

 

Focus Areas: Power electronics components such as power modules, chokes, capacitors, and related circuits.

What We're Looking For

 

  • You should have started M.Sc. or B.Sc. studies in an appropriate engineering science, such as Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
  • A passion for power electronics is an asset and will help you integrate into our team quickly.
  • We expect you to have a good command of English and at least a basic command of Finnish.
  • The ability to work as a team player, take initiative, and a strong eagerness to develop both professionally and personally are essential.

Salary range for our Summer Trainees is 2200 € - 2860€ per month based on the level of studies and study points.
