Facilitate timely and accurate shipment of customer orders. Schedule delivery notes, stock kits, subcontract services and transportation carriers. Create domestic and international documents plus invoices. Disburse inventory properly. Provide support to internal and external customers.
This is a 1st Shift position.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Use Descarte TMS software to obtain mode of transportation, preferred carrier and freight rates for customer orders and to execute documentation for the shipment.
- Use Global Trade Management software to file customs export documentation according to government regulation. Provide guidance of HTS codes and Freight class. Email shipping information to customers and customer service. Provide foreign documentation/ required paperwork to transportation carriers to ensure shipments clear customs in a timely manner.
- Release and process delivery notes in SAP P01. Review open order reports, communicate constraints, initiate corrective action and provide backup to other functions.
- Release production orders for kits, applications and subcontract items in response to customer requirements. Maintain stock of instruction books and miscellaneous support materials for the Shipping Department.
- Process inventory-related transactions in the warehouse and reconcile discrepancies. Complete Post Goods Issue transactions to disburse inventory and initiate customer invoice.
- Contact transportation dispatchers for pick-up of customer orders, subcontract processes and return to vendor shipments. Work directly with Carrier Operations personnel to schedule shipments and resolve shipment issues.
- Process all required documentation for domestic and foreign shipments and invoicing. Prepare documentation to produce shipping paperwork. Create waybills, commercial invoice, and Shipping Letter of Intent for export shipments to ensure quick and accurate processing through Customs. Become a subject matter expert for outbound and international shipment processing. Provide guidance of ASN.
- Maintain a file of orders on credit hold and packed later-W shippers that require ship to addresses. Coordinate with the Customer Service and Credit departments to ensure orders are shipped on time. Maintain files for proof of delivery inquiries or audits. Research and support freight claim initiation and investigation.
- Report daily invoicing of customer orders shipped.
- Assist the Customer Service and Shipping departments with order changes that are already packed or on a delivery note.
- Coordinate Shipping Department resources in the absence of the Manager by communication of daily priorities and other information changes.
- Record the expenditure of Danfoss-paid freight in the Premium Freight Tool.
- Expedite material through the paint and final Inspection supervisors to ensure orders are shipped on time to customer.
- Maintain records of all shipping information, establish and execute the policies for processing package tracing and shipment claims. Maintain lumber records and coordinate NEMA annual certification.
- Guide material handlers in carrier loading schedules.
What We're Looking For
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience within Logistics or Transportation.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Distribution/Shipping facility problem solving.
- Knowledge of filing special forms and export documents.
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system.
- Experience of PC including internet, email, MS Office, and scanning.
- Knowledge of carrier and customer websites.
