The Impact You'll Make

As a Tactical Buyer, you will play a vital role in managing raw material inventories at optimal levels, ensuring that we meet our on-time delivery (OTD) and customer service goals. Your expertise in analyzing data and enterprise requirements planning will be essential in facilitating informed decisions that enhance our supply chain execution.

In this position, you will directly contribute to the efficiency of our manufacturing processes by implementing best practices in materials management. By maintaining effective communication with suppliers and coordinating with production personnel, you will help ensure that our operations run smoothly and that we can meet production demands without interruption.

Your work will not only involve managing inventories but also participating in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and cost reduction initiatives. This proactive approach will help drive productivity and satisfaction across the organization, fostering a culture of inclusion that leverages the full potential of all employees. Ultimately, your contributions will be crucial in maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations, making a significant impact on the overall success of Danfoss Power Solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Implementing best practices in materials management to optimize inventory levels.
  • Managing materials planning for both discrete and min-max consignment planned items.
  • Supporting cleanup of invoice holds and ASN holds.
  • Reviewing assigned items and responding to shortages, both real and potential.
  • Planning raw materials inventory levels and ensuring high forecast accuracy to meet profit and inventory targets.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain.
  • Experience: Proven experience in an applicable supply chain role, with a strong background in direct purchasing processes and materials management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Excel; experience in materials replenishment planning and master production scheduling.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a strong customer focus.
  • Languages: Proficient in English.
