The Impact You'll Make

As an Environmental Health and Safety Intern, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace at our DTC Tallahassee site. Your contributions will directly support compliance with key EHS regulations while helping build a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility.


In this hands-on role, you’ll gain real-world experience with OSHA, EPA, and environmental programs, working closely with leadership to improve processes and reduce risk. You’ll see the impact of your work daily helping protect employees, the environment, and the long-term success of the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Help strengthen the company’s EHS management systems by supporting policy development, documentation, and compliance tracking.

  • Contribute to a safer workplace by assisting with hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.

  • Partner with teams to deliver EHS training and awareness, ensuring employees understand safety practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Support environmental compliance efforts, including permits, inspections, and programs related to air, water, and waste management.

  • Participate in daily GEMBA walks and 5S initiatives to maintain safe, organized, and efficient work environments.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Foundational knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning EHS systems or software.

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
