The Impact You'll Make

At Danfoss Turbocor’s global product headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of industry-leading oil-free compressor technology. Working directly on the manufacturing floor, your insights and actions will help deliver products that support energy efficiency and sustainability for customers around the world.
 
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will identify, reduce, and control manufacturing product and process risks through data-driven analysis, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. Your work will help improve production performance, strengthen quality systems, and prevent issues before they impact our customers.
 
This is a fully onsite position in Tallahassee, Florida, where you will partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams. Your contributions will directly influence continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, and the long-term success of our flagship Turbocor business.  The hours for second shift are between 3pm and midnight, Monday thru Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze manufacturing performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that improve product quality and operational excellence.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver quality metrics and KPI reporting that provide clear insights and support informed business decisions.
  • Drive quality and compliance initiatives through audits, process reviews, and adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting quality training, sharing best practices, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field
    AND
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, process engineering, or related areas

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Working knowledge and practical application of:

    • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
    • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
    • Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments
    • ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards
    • Capability analysis and statistical methods
    • Root cause analysis and corrective action tools
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:

    • Excel (data analysis and reporting)
    • PowerPoint (presentations)
    • Word, Access, Visio (documentation and process mapping)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and quality management systems (QMS)
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
