The Impact You'll Make
As a Material Management Intern, you’ll play an important role in helping ensure materials are available when and where they’re needed to support customer demand. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, forecasting, and procurement operations while contributing to real business initiatives.
Working alongside materials, procurement, and SIOP teams, you’ll help identify process improvements, support data-driven decision making, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and reduce waste. Your work will provide valuable insights that strengthen supply chain performance and operational excellence.
This internship offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement initiatives, and the tools and processes used to manage complex manufacturing and supply chain operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyze current supply chain and material management processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Review forecast and demand planning data to help ensure accuracy and alignment with the SIOP plan.
- Monitor order books to identify unforecasted demand and support proactive material planning activities.
- Partner with procurement, planning, and operations teams to help maintain a reliable flow of materials and minimize supply disruptions.
- Create and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and project tracking resources that support informed business decisions and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make fact-based recommendations.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to analyze data and communicate insights.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build productive working relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and interest in supply chain planning, procurement, inventory management, or continuous improvement.
