The Impact You'll Make
Join our engineering team and help shape the next generation of centrifugal compressor technology. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the design, analysis, testing, and validation of real-world products used in demanding industrial applications.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on sustaining engineering initiatives, where your contributions can directly influence product performance, reliability, and continuous improvement efforts.
You will apply classroom knowledge to practical engineering challenges while building valuable experience with industry-standard design, analysis, and testing tools.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Create and update 3D models and 2D engineering drawings that support product enhancements and sustaining engineering projects.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate component strength, performance, and design improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support prototype builds, testing activities, and design validation efforts.
- Prepare clear test reports, engineering documentation, and process data summaries that help drive design decisions.
- Review bills of materials (BOMs) and assist with the design and evaluation of manufacturing tooling and related engineering solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling software, preferably CATIA or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with FEA tools, with ANSYS Mechanical preferred.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
